Cleaning your Dryer Vent with a Leaf Blower

A leaf blower can produce a powerful, continuous jet of air in a straight line. This makes it a great tool for cleaning out your dryer vent. If you have a hard time getting all the debris out with a brush, you may be able to use your leaf blower to blast it all out from the other side. Here’s how:

First, detach the duct from the wall. Then, hold the leaf blower towards the open end of the vent and turn it on. Be careful not to blow any blocking items back into the dryer vent. If you do, they could get stuck and cause problems later on. With a little perseverance, you should be able to use your leaf blower to clean up your dryer vent and make your dryer more efficient.

Although it may take some effort, you can use a leaf blower to clean your dryer vent. By doing so, you’ll increase the efficiency of your dryer and prevent any potential problems down the road.
